Rescue Training Given to West Jakarta Gulkarmat Firefighters

Through this training, they will have new skills in carrying out the rescue

Hundreds of firefighters under West Jakarta Fire and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency for Tambora Sector were educated on how to evacuate drowning people in the Grogol Reservoir, Jalan Latumenten, Grogol Petamburan.

West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Operation Division Head Eko Sumarno said participants were divided into three groups. Each team had 43 to 45 personnel.

Further, they were given education on how to evacuate drowning people, operate, maneuver and row boats and other rescue materials.

"Through this training, they will have new skills in carrying out the rescue," he expressed, Wednesday (9/2).

He added this training was held since Tuesday (9/1) and would end on Thursday (9/3) tomorrow.

"The training material is delivered by senior/experienced instructors," he told.
